The kind of hard-hitting journalism the world needs right now. We're all living in the bunny-verse.

Have you read Rumaan Alam's piece on the best rooms in children's literature? An oldie but a goodie. https://slate.com/culture/2016/08/from-goodnight-moon-to-richard-scarry-the-great-rooms-of-children-s-literature-reviewed.html

I thought I had noticed everything there was to notice in Goodnight Moon. Apparently not.

Once I got curious if anyone had ever recreated the room IRL. So I googled and found that some mom did, in fact, attempt to turn their child’s bedroom into the Goodnight Moon room. The result was disturbing. Maybe a professional designer could do it well?

There have been a lot of attempts to recreate it and the colors are just too jarring

My parents tried to read me Goodnight Moon and the like, but apparently I fixated on all of Beatrix Potter's books and Dr. Seuss. So, first, I'm getting all of these books just for myself. There's no kid, so I'll read to the wind. Second, mind blown at the cleverness of the illustration. Thank you for helping us see the pixels.

Every adult should own a copy of these books!
