We are one month out from Salone del Mobile, Milan’s annual design festival. I have gawked from a distance for years now, feeling intense FOMO at friends and colleagues who get to witness the intense spectacle of design that happens over the course of a week. I hear some people talk about Salone as “over-hyped” with the kind of vapid jadedness that seems required of a multi-timer. But, I, for one, think it seems super cool and important! And I am finally getting to go this year! Me! Moi! I!—have been invited to Milan. (Not that you really need an invitation to go…but it helps.)
