Danish lighting company Louis Poulsen has been shaping the way we live with light since 1874 — long before Scandi-chic became a “lifestyle” trend that people tried to peg onto literally anything. The company’s partnership with Poul Henningsen in the 1920s changed lighting forever when he created the “PH system” — that tri-shade construction that defines Poulsen design. I hadn’t actually given it much thought — aside from its aesthetic beauty — until I read more about it on the Louis Poulsen website:
