Today we have another installment of my Ultimate Home Shopping Guides. We’ve already covered towels and shower curtains. Upcoming: furniture, decor, tabletop, lighting. All guides will be refreshed/added to periodically. Also, I just updated my Very Best Rugs Right Now post (just a list of rugs I think are cool).

The categories I chose for the below rug sources — mass, independent(ish)/specialty, and vintage — aren’t hard and fast as some of these retailers can straddle two groups. Just know that much of the stuff in the independent category can be quite spendy (and some of them come from Europe).
